A Short Motorhome Holiday
Last week we took off on a short motorhome rental holiday in New Zealand. It was fantastic! Check out our photos... As we were test driving a new motorhome rental vehicle for one of our partner motorhome companies, we decided that the best place for that is Central Otago! We stayed on for 3 days and had a good look around. Drove up to Treble Cone and Cardrona ski fields. Visited some friends in picturesque Arrowtown near Queenstown. And discovered Clyde & Lake Dunstan. If you like Arrowtown but find it a bit too touristy, then you will absolutely love Clyde! It's a quiet place with plenty of history and some fantastic old buildings. I had delicious lunch at the Bank Café which is located in an old Bank of New Zealand building on Sunderland Street. Hot Tip! Loved our short motorhome rental holiday!

NZ$200 fine for Freedom Camping
Putting a fine on Freedom Camping might seem like the only way to tidy up irresponsible campers. However, we think a more careful and thoughtful approach is required. Campervan Hire and Freedom Camping is a popular way to enjoy New Zealand's wilderness and beauty. A large number of Kiwis and tourists do it every year. Hundreds of public areas and car parks with toilet facilities sit vacant during nighttime. How about putting more thought into developing a Freedom Camping Pass which allows holders to park their campervan hire or motorhome rental vehicle in designated areas for a set time frame.
