NZ$200 fine for Freedom Camping
Putting a fine on Freedom Camping might seem like the only way to tidy up irresponsible campers. However, we think a more careful and thoughtful approach is required. Campervan Hire and Freedom Camping is a popular way to enjoy New Zealand's wilderness and beauty. A large number of Kiwis and tourists do it every year. Hundreds of public areas and car parks with toilet facilities sit vacant during nighttime. How about putting more thought into developing a Freedom Camping Pass which allows holders to park their campervan hire or motorhome rental vehicle in designated areas for a set time frame. Keep New Zealand Campervan Hire Holidays enjoyable!

Christchurch Earthquake
Although the Earthquakes have destructed the heart of Christchurch, there are still many unharmed destinations in and around Christchurch, which shouldn't be missed on a Campervan Hire Hoilday.... The campervan drive from Darfield via the Rakaia Gorge to Methven is also a highlight. Coming from the big flat Canterbury Plains you head towards the Southern Alps, which rise up to the sky almost instantly. The Rakia Gorge is beautiful in its own way and we recommend taking the walkway along the east side of the river. Methven is a sleepy little farming town which bursts into life during the winter months. It forms the base for skiing at Mt Hutt. If you get a chance to go for a ski during your Campervan Hire Holiday – rent some ski equipment in Methven and head up to the slopes. A great experience! It may pay to hop on a bus or shuttle service as the ski field access road can be a challenge for the driver of campervans. Some Campervan Hire Companies also prohibit their campervans and motorhomes to be driven on unsealed ski field roads ...

Castle Point
Castle Point is simply breathtaking. The magical scenery will stay with you forever. It's ideal to explore this place by Campervan Hire with a Campground situated directly at Castle Point. There are also good facilities including a small supermarket, well maintained public toilets and a huge playground for the kids. Although you will see vehicles driving along Castle Point beach, please resist the temptation to drive your Campervan Hire vehicle on the beach. You may get stuck or damage your campervan and the campervan hire company will not be impressed to learn that you drove your campervan on the beach. Be aware that Castle Point can change from magnificent to horrible with a windy weather change. Next to being one of the most spectacular places in NZ, Castle Point is also one of the windiest places in New Zealand and ...
