Apollo Campervans & Motorhomes | New Zealand NEWS
With 23 branches across New Zealand, Australia, the USA and Canada, Apollo Motorhome Holidays is the largest privately owned and operated RV company in the world. During our meeting in Christchurch we discussed upcoming changes to the Apollo products for the season 2016/17 and current market developments in New Zealand ... All StarRV campervans now feature gas central heating, which is a big improvement and very useful with New Zealand’s changeable weather ... While we were at the depot, we also inspected a range of Apollo campervans. As in previous years, the vehicles were well presented and in clean and tidy condition ... A unique feature to Apollo’s 4 Berth campervans is the electronic bed-lift system of the rear double bed. With the push of a button, the bed is stored in the ceiling, making room for the dining table and seating area. No need to make-up/break-down the bed every day. Genius! ... We have worked with Apollo for over four years now and look forward to a close and strong partnership in the future ... With Apollo you can be assured to receive quality, good value and excellent customer service and support throughout your New Zealand campervan hire holiday.

We have assembled some information about this topic ... Campervan hire vehicles can feature portable toilet cassettes or an integrated bathroom with shower and toilet ... In New Zealand it is not permitted to camp in the wilderness, i.e. “freedom camping”, if your campervan does not feature a self-containment certificate ... Our recommendation is to ensure your vehicle is officially certified self-contained. If you are on a budget, it is ideal to choose a compact campervan with portable toilet and the green sticker for freedom camping ...

Driving Tips | Campervan Hire New Zealand
Driving a campervan can be a challenging task. Many of our clients voice their concerns about handling a large 4 or 6 Berth campervan. My advice is to take it easy for the first couple of days, giving yourself a fair chance to get used to the new dimensions and functions. If possible, stay away from city traffic and travel on open country roads. Once you have mastered your first few days driving, parking and reversing (Rear vision cameras are a great asset!), handling the campervan will feel absolutely natural to you. - A “Piece of cake!”, as we like to say here in New Zealand. Read on for tips for driving your campervan hire vehicle on New Zealand’s roads ...

Start of Winter School Holidays | Campervan Hire
It's obvious the most popular places are thermal pool resorts and ski fields, but perhaps a cross-country campervan hire adventure will bring some unforgettable memories for your family. In a campervan you can experience new locations every day, taking the kids to the beach one day, going skiing the next - anything is possible. Before booking a campervan, make sure, however, that the offered vehicle features independent heating systems and a comfortable, warm interior. There are still many vehicles that I would describe as unsuitable for winter travel. They usually come with a cheap price tag, but there certainly is a good reason for that. Read on for a summary of ideal features your campervan hire vehicle should include ...
